The Courses
The Canadian Rockies corridor stretches from Kananaskis through Canmore and into Banff National Park, and the courses along the way are some of the most photographed in the country. Kananaskis Country Golf Course offers 36 holes of mountain golf designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course is a bucket-list layout in the Bow Valley with over 90 years of history. Stewart Creek, carved through a former mining valley in Canmore, delivers dramatic views of the Three Sisters peaks. When to Visit
The golf season in the Canadian Rockies runs from mid-May to mid-October. July and August bring the warmest weather and the longest days, with temperatures between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. June and September are excellent for golfers who prefer cooler conditions and fewer crowds. Early and late season packages often come with lower pricing.
Getting Here
Calgary International Airport (YYC) is the gateway to the Canadian Rockies, with Banff roughly 90 minutes west along the Trans-Canada Highway. Canmore is 15 minutes closer. Kananaskis sits between Calgary and Canmore, making it an easy first or last stop on your trip.
