Golden Golf Club
The Golden Golf Club is situated in the beautiful Columbia River Valley at Golden, British Columbia. It offers one of the most enjoyable golfing experiences you will find in Canada. The natural beauty of the Columbia Valley, makes the golf course an instant classic. Architects Bill Newis and Les Furber have done some of their best work in sculpting this fun, but challenging layout. The stunning Rocky, and Purcell mountains are uniquely framed, and each hole tells a great story.
The Club takes great pride in the fact that there are no residences on, or around the golf course. Each hole is almost entirely lined by natural forest. The course has no boundary markers or out of bounds. If you can find your ball, it is in play. This is a beautiful and serene location. The perfect spot to get away from it all and enjoy golf in a natural setting.
The Golden Golf Club is situated in the Columbia Valley, between the famous Rocky mountains (East) and Purcell mountain range (West). The mighty Columbia River flows past the Golden Golf Course, with several holes routed along the river bank. From many parts of the course a person can view the amazing Kicking Horse ski resort.
“The golf course is challenging, but fair…It is very player friendly…No hidden tricks or gimmicks here.”
Mountain streams and ponds come in to play on several holes. If you have played here in the spring, you will remember the awesome sound of Holt Creek, as its water rushes to meet the Columbia River. It provides both auditory and visual accompaniment to most of the back nine.
Be sure to bring your camera. It is very common to have multiple wildlife sightings during a round of golf. The resident eagles, osprey, coyotes, deer, and black bears all seem to be drawn to this magical piece of real estate.
