Certainly one of British Columbia’s most scenic golf courses, Furry Creek is a must-play for any BC golf enthusiast. Here’s why you should consider visiting Furry Creek and adding it to your British Columbia golf vacation.

Most Scenic Golf Course

Furry Creek is the perfect incarnation of harmony between mountain, land, and sea. It’s no surprise that it’s a popular choice for weddings and events. The first tee presents an incredible 165-foot plunge towards the Howe Sound, convincing many golfers to play on even if they don’t do well right off the tee. The course takes you on a journey past cliffs, streams, woodlands, and gives you more than just a glimpse of the ocean. Hole #14 is British Columbia’s Signature Golf Hole, titled “Tee to Sea.” Even if you don’t golf, it’s worth a visit just for the view.

Challenging But Fair

Your patience will be tested on this course–but the scenery will urge you forward. Furry Creek is not for beginners! The course is well-maintained. Watch the par 4’s and 5’s, as the pin placement, green undulations, and tough blind shots can throw you. The yellow tees are especially demanding. Hole #4 is the number one handicap hole on the course. Club selection and extreme focus are mandatory, but if you can’t seem to maneuver the course, try to remember that you’re there to have fun too!

Food

The Sea to Sky Grill is Furry Creek’s restaurant. It’s acclaimed for its Sunday Brunch service and offers laid-back but elegant dining. The patio overlooks the Howe Sound at the 18th green. The food is your standard fare: hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, salads, and there is a wine and beer list as well. They also cater for weddings and other events held at the course.]]>
